How do I edit email address associated with Sense?

When I was trying to set up Sense Fitbit, it would not allow me to use my normal email address because many many years ago I had a Fitbit and no longer remember the password or have any access to that account.  So, I used my wife's email address and now she is getting all my emails.  How can I delete the old account on my normal email and transfer this new Sense Fitbit to it?

Thanks for the detailed information. I understand you had a previous Fitbit account, but do you recall if that one was deleted? If that's correct and your email address isn't associated to any Fitbit account, I'd recommend editing the email address associated on your profile by doing the following:

 

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap your profile picture at the upper left corner.
  2. Tap Account Settings then Change Email.
  3. Enter your current, as well as your preferred email address in the correct field.
  4. Then in the Confirm Password box, type your Fitbit account password.
  5. Tap Change and follow the on-screen instructions.
  6. In the email you receive, click Verify your Email to complete the update.
