I closed the messages from Fitbit in the top banner on the app with the close "X" and now cannot figure out how to get it back.  I am afraid I might miss the new update message for the software for the watch upgrade.

Hi @steveo57 simply open the Fitbit app on your phone. When the new firmware has been released to you, there will be a banner telling you to upgrade. Tap this banner.
