How do I make calls on Sense?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I can receive calls, but I’ve tried a few times to make a call with the Google Assistant. But each time I say call so and so from my contacts it says sorry I can’t make calls yet. Anyone know how to fix this or if there’s supposed to be an update coming to add this feature? I have the Fitbit Sense and iPhone 11 Pro Max. TIA.

The best thing to do is wait and see if Fitbit adds out calls from the wrist. According to the user manual, currently this can not be done yet.

You can't. Only take calls. Hopefully it'll get added. Some flagship watch huh?

Hi @NT081456 and @westsidekilla1, welcome to the Community. @Rich_Laue and @Ynott, it's good to see you here.

@NT081456, thanks for the information provided and the steps tried prior to posting. As it was mentioned above, currently it's not possible to make phone calls directly from your Sense. However, you can receive call notifications or take calls from your wrist.

I understand how helpful it'd be for you, @Ynott and @westsidekilla1 to have this feature available, and my best advice is to post this idea in the Feature Suggestions board. That way our developers can take it into consideration for new updates or product development. You can learn more about this board in our FAQs.

Oh no how sad to hear that.  I was looking to upgrade my versa 2 to the sense as I had an emergency and all I had with me was my versa, so I needed one that also makes calls since now I have a medical condition.  I’ve had a Fitbit ever since it was just a simple bracelet, but I guess it’s time to say good bye and move on to an Iwatch. 🥲

Users have reported that with Google Assistant enabled, out going calls can be made. However no one has mentioned if this requires having a Google number.

I have neither and simply passing on what other users experienced.

I just tested using Google Assistant on the watch, "Call X at work" and it did actually complete the call from my phone (and it had my phone on speaker).  So basically you can instruct from the watch to use your phone to make the call FROM your phone, but you can't actually talk from the watch itself doing this.  You are using your phone in speaker mode.

Are we really complaining about not being able to make phone calls from a wristwatch? Have we become that tech dependent?

My Galaxy watch is nice in that I can make and receive calls without having the phone with me.

However the watch is bulky and not easy to navigate with my finger tips.

I am very disappointed you can't make calls. One of the reasons I upgraded was because the descriptions alluded to the fact you can.  This is one of the most important feature so I will be returning the watch asap. Even with Google Assist, that is not what I'm looking for.

Hi @NT081456 when you ask Google assistant to make a call. Do you then talk through the watch?

Yes @Tracy7873 but it has been reported that the user has to pick up the phone to talk. The outgoing call, does happen through the tracker.

Has this changed?
