I've looked at other threads here and have removed the wallet app entirely from the device and app and none of it has worked. How do I turn this ridiculous notification off?

Remove the wallet app from the quick menus. On your Versa 3 swipe to settings, tap, then swipe to shortcuts. You can configure what a single and double button tap will open. Replace the wallet with some other function.
