I've seen this topic a few times but never seems like it's actually been fixed. I didn't have the issue until about 2 weeks ago. I was on vacation & was going up & down stairs a lot, but I really didn't think it was 102 times! I started paying attn & it was showing me at crazy numbers starting on August 6th. Just today (8/18), I have done 0 stairs but it says I've done 22 floors.
The newest update just came out yesterday for my watch so I thought that would fix it (the update gave 0 info on what was done, just said it fixed bugs; apparently NOT this 1).
When will this issue be fixed?? I would really like an accurate floor count for when I am trying to hit a certain goal each day! (I've had an injury hence no stairs today).

Hi, @CDL1982! Unfortunately, this has been a long-running issue. I myself have ended up with hundreds of flights when I should have no more than maybe 10 or 20 in a day. For me, it's been happening for quite a bit longer. I don't have any solution to offer you, but just know that it's not just your device.

oh def know it's not just me! I did a search & found at least 2 other topics about it, 1 last year & 1 a year or 2 before that!! So, FitBit should know it's an issue, they need to fix it! I'm hoping a FitBit admin sees this & can give us answers... 😞

I had 2 calls with tech support regarding this and a couple other issues. Did the whole reset process on the first call. Did not resolve the issue. Called again, acknowledged the issue, and there was no estimated date for a solution. My watch is 8 months old and they would not offer credit for a different watch or refund. I’m having other quirky issues such as it keeps resetting to non dominant hand when I change to dominant. Really disappointing
