Issues with my new Sense

Hello,

I just got my Sense yesterday, but I've been a bit disappointed with the experience so far. Here are a few of the issues I've had:

-Just scrolling through basic screens quickly is enough to cause it to lag and stutter. The animation is not smooth and visibly slows and speeds

-The music player most often shows "No phone connected" The controls still work as if it is connected most of the time. I've already unpaired and reconnected everything, but the problem remains.

-I tried to do a quick response to a text in the morning while the "Sleep as Android" app was still running, and the watch completely locked for about two minutes. Multitasking of any sort seems to slow the watch to a craw.

-Sometimes the watch does not seem to respond to touch / swipes at all. Sometimes, these will all be input a few seconds later: Swipe, nothing happens; swipe, nothing happens; swipe, moves three screens.

-Weather keeps reverting to Fahrenheit; I have set it to Celsius three times so far but it doesn't seem to stick.

-A few other minor gripes. SP02 didn't update when syncing upon waking, but the data did show up several hours later.

Is this normal for this watch? I'm running firmware version 44.128.5.49

Thanks,
Marcus

Hi there, @MkUltra85. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issues with your Sense before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.

As a first approach, please note that since you have just setup your Sense it may appear up to date but it needs another update. The latest update isn't available until up to 48-72 hours after setup. As you have let us know, your  Sense shows version 128.5.49 but the latest one is 128.6.10. For more information, see What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?

However, as for the screen issues (scrolling, freezing, swiping, screen unreadable, etc.) and the weather that keeps reverting to Fahrenheit, I'd recommend to change your clock face. Note that not all clock faces allow to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit or vice versa, some of them may have their default temperature, which cannot be changed.

About the quick replies and music control, may I know the model of your mobile phone? First, make sure it meets the requirements listed here.

Then, please see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit device? and Why can't I control music on my phone with my Fitbit device?

Regarding to the SpO2, note that it may take around an hour for your SpO2 values to appear on the clock face after you sync your device. The clock face shows data for your most recent sleep session. If your sleep session is split into 2 separate logs or you take a long nap, the clock face updates to show data for the most recent sleep session after your device syncs with the Fitbit app. For more information, see How do I track blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) with my Fitbit device?
