Agree. Hope to see Fitbit add. Water folks would really benefit.
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity.
Best AnswerHmmm. The work around seems awkward but I’ll try next outing. In the meantime, please upgrade to add kayak as an activity and show the gps. My Fitbit totally missed a nice 1.5 hour kayak today that I took up and back on the river. I’m a Fitbit fan but this seems doable. I won’t wear a second device just to get these stars. All that prep would ruin my experience. Thank you!
Best AnswerHello @LowCountrykayak and welcome to the Community. You added on to an old thread in the Ionic forum, a discontinued and recalled model. I looked at your public profile and you wrote that you use the Sense. The Sense has the Outdoor Workout shortcut. This was designed for non-step based activities like kayaking. Fitbit made a mistake and used the same icon as the Interval Workout shortcut. The Charge 4 shows a figure in a kayak. Please use Outdoor Workout for your kayaking.
I just want to add that Fitbit added Kayaking to the Sense 2 and Versa 4 Exercise shortcut list. But Fitbit also took away some very useful features. I do not recommend upgrading just for the specific shortcut.

Thank you big time! I’m sorry I’m just seeing this now. Gonna try it today out on the river. Also thanks for advice on upgrade. I’m quite happy with features I get from Sense now. This one tracking thing though was driving me batty.
happy trails. Wendy
