Messages as a smart watch

Is there any way to get notifications from phone apps such as Facebook with at least the text part or could you do an update to include text messages from any smart or social app? It is advertised as a smart watch let’s have it be smart and currently I’m not even getting text messages on my fit bit sense. I had a garmin of a lesser level than the fit bit sense and even it got texts from basically every application. Please help thank you!

I think you need to check your settings - I certainly get text messages, whatsapp messages, messenger messages, and email on my Sense. My understanding is that what you see in Notifications depends on what the app that generated them produced. Sense isnt supporting dozen of individual applications but instead connecting to a common Notification API.

For settings, go to fitbit app on your phone, click on your avatar top left, click on Sense, and then work through the Notifications settings. Pay particular attention to "App Notifications"

Hi @YoshiLeafMan  - you can get notifications on your watch as @scaddenp has given, though also swipe your watch face to the right to get to Quick Settings and check neither sleep or do not disturb are enabled, to be sure that they come and you are alerted.

Note also that what you see on the watch is just the same notifications you see on the phone and not whole message necessarily if it is long. You actually see a brief summary of the notification and have to click on it to see the full notification.

On Android phones you can also reply to some messages, including SMS ones if properly setup, via standard reply texts, which you can configure or a spoken message text.
