I got my Fitbit Sense around 15 months ago, and was generally happy with it until it decided to die last night. I was always cautious with it, made sure about the charging habits, etc, yet the screen went black and all the different types of reset that I could find online did not fix it. I know my watch is on, it is synced, vibrates, etc, but nothing on the screen.
I contacted the support, and all they did was to ask me to reset, and when it did not work, offered me a discount on my next Fitbit purchase. Honestly I find the offer anything but intriguing, rather offensive I would say. Is it how long a new watch is supposed to last? Only 15 month for over 400 $ spent on a watch? and then I'm supposed to get a discount and get yet another one?
I will for sure not use the discount and switch to other brands, but wanted to know if that's the normal life expectancy of a Fitbit sense in your experience.

Not sure if this will work for you, but if it is vibrating, try selecting a different clock-face on the FitBit app on your cell phone and then reset the FitBit while it is on the charger. My FitBit started buzzing and flashing and then stopped working this morning. I had a 3rd party clock-face that I had purchased through FitBit. When I switched to a FitBit clock-face and reset, the FitBit is now fine. I no longer see that other clock-face as a clock option so I suspect FitBit is no longer supporting it. Good luck!

What jmr12 said.
I’ve had my watch and charger since 11/20 and I still get the same charge use as the day it was bought. For me that is 5 days. I therefore know they can last more than 15 months and it isn’t how it is. BTW, I have used this watch 24 hours a day and only remove it to charge or shower. I feel blessed as I read these type of posts.

SAME!! I loved my watch and wore it 24/7 except when it needed to be charged. Now I cannot get it to turn on. I got my
watch back in Jan/Feb of last year- only a year!! ☹️ not sure if anyone knows of who to go to fix it, or if I need to just get a different brand.

I never changed my clock face, always went with the default one. I also did all the resettings possible, none worked 😞
Decided to move forward to other brands, hope they last longer.

@Tifnaemitch Yep, exactly the same timeline for me. I gave fitbit customer service a call, send them emails, chat with them, neither worked. I wish Fitbit had some repair stores or something. Anyway, I moved forward to a different brand. I enjoyed my Fitbit experience while it lasted.

Which one did you switch to and do you have the same features as fit bit premium???

It's a very difficult question to answer as it depend which features you need most. I went for Garmin, as I had one before and liked it a lot. It's rather focusing on being a fitness tracker than a smartwatch though, so aesthetically speaking it is not as good as fitbit, and not as user friendly. But the battery lasts long, the watch lasts longer (at least I hope) and I like the data it gives you more than fitbit's. I don't have an iphone so cannot go with apple watch, but apparently it is also very good.

I like the sleep patterns, ecg, tracking my steps and mediations. I didn’t use it for music or text messages/phone calls. More so for tracking my health

Same here. I purchased mine May 1, 2022 and it just died on me 😞 It has 83% charge on it. It started flashing the fitbit sign today and now its just black and I can't do anything with it. It doesn't do anything on the charger - no vibrations when I hold the sides in 😞 nothing! $600 and 1 year 😞

FitBit has a 1 year warranty so you should be able to contract them and get a replacement if they can't solve your problem. I had to do that with my first Sense. They will have you try different steps to get the problem resolved, but when that didn't work for mine, they sent me a new Sense (without the band). Good luck!
