My Sense adjusted my steps to a lower number

On a family vacation and have been walking around amusement parks and putting in a lot of steps. Yesterday when I was leaving the park  i was just under 20,000 steps. At the end of the day, I only had 16,604. This has happened to me several times the past few days.I have looked at the other forums and I do not have any other devices on my account, nor have I been tracking any activity manually. Does anyone else have this same issue?

Hello @Butterfly1978b

Just a thought….you mentioned you were on “vacation”…was this vacation spot in a different time zone then changed when you returned home to your normal time zone? If this wasn’t the issue I’d try restarting your Fitbit Sense to see if that resolves the problem. To restart your watch, press and hold the button for 10 seconds until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen, and then release the button. Restarting your watch doesn't delete any data.

Hopefully this answers your question and fixes the issue. Please let me know.

😃 Happy Stepping!

I was in a different time zone, however, my Sense never adjusted the time despite being linked to my phone (which does auto update on the time). The Sense adjusted my steps several times throughout my vacation and it was usually in the early evening. (Well away from being reset for a new day.) There was one day in paticular that I noticed I was over 24,000 steps, when I looked at it an hour later, I was at 23,000 steps and by the time I went to bed, I was barely over 21,000. I had still been moving and walking in that time period, so I am not sure why I lost steps. As mentioned before, it happened several times, and each time I lost 1000+ steps.

Hello again @Butterfly1978b

Did you try restarting your Fitbit Sense as I described in my first post above? If so has your Fitbit tracker recorded your steps properly since?
