So, i’ve got my Sense 8 days ago (last Sunday). And the problems started :sob::triumph: I will write bellow all the issues encountered by me so far (running on iOS 14.0.1) and my setup:
Setup:
- location/permissions to the Fitbit app are set for All/Always including running in background
- i don’t use the SPO2 watch face (i have another one from the heavy stats since i like it more)
- i don’t have always On display but it is set to show the watch as i turn my wrist
Issues:
- theoretically is connected to both wi-fi and bluetooth (practically, this dies as soon as i close the app) - i raised an issue with the support team and they said they are looking into it (that was 8 days ago). To read weather or anything related, i need to sync it all the time with the app.
- guess what...Find My Phone says phone not found/connected. It will find my phone only after syncing the watch with the app. That feature dies instantly when i close this app, making this feature totally useless since if you cannot find you’re phone, you definitely cannot connect to it (dooooh!!!).
- GPS is On THEORETICALLY since it’s not working/connecting (at all!!!).
- Uber app cannot be also used. First, again i need to sync my phone (making this app totally useless as well). Also, it says that home and work address are not set but i did set them all, and the app has all the permissions needed.
- Vibrations are set to strong but can’t feel them at all. When my phone rings, the notifications on my watch can be barely felt. My Versa had stronger vibrations so this is another black bullet to the list.
- Temperature, which is the feature i bought this device for, is just showing variations without the actual body temperature. Also useless for me since i don’t have a thermometer and i don’t know my body temp. So...variation to what?
- Heart rate is totally inaccurate. I compared both my versa and Sense with a proper heart rate device and versa is more accurate.
- Versa readings: 70bpm to 130bpm ---> very close to the medical heart device
- Sense readings: 83 bpm resting and 152bpm (also registered 21 min cardio exercises) which were NOT happening. I don’t do any sports at all, i’m a very very sedentary person. Actually, my cardio session was done on the couch watching TV and playing games on my phone all day, where the only times i raised were to get some food or use the restroom. I should also probably have a heart attack at 152bpm.
- The wristband looks cheaper than the one used in Versa and it actually hurts. If i close it to the 4th hole it is too tight and it actually strangles my hand. If i close it to the 5th one it’s too loose and it will rotate around my wrist by itself (i can easily fit a larger pen). The Versa one had the perfect fit right in between as we’re not all elephants here and some have tiny hands. I use the small version of the band also.
So, I am considering returning this watch as for 8 to 12 days of battery (lasts that long because it’s not actually connected to anything as i close the app) i can buy a cheaper band or smartwatch. Does the same thing as this one for 10 times cheaper since on this one absolutelly NOTHING works.

I have the same issue with my Iphone. It keeps displaying to run app in background to sync automatically where all permissions are there already. And it did register an elliptical for me when I just went for a walk. And showed me in Deep Sleep when the watch was resting on the side table. The settings do not seem to be accurate but an approximation based on an algorithm (just like the exercise machines which show the average numbers). Feeling conned into something that is not there yet.

I will try to leave the watch on table and check if measures as sleeping, too. I'm curious about this.

I’ve had all the same issues. I was about to return and woke up and noticed a crack in the screen. Now they won’t take it back after 9 days of trying to set it up. It has never been accurate on the weather even with customer service calls to run to help. Customer Service said don’t waste money on screen protector or case. Now I’m SOL, unless I use 35% off coupon on another product. Not happening!
The battery is always dying on me. I went with this brand over another because they use to have excellent battery life, I guess in 13 years the product has decreased.
I have a chronic illnesses and it’s not user friendly at all. I thought some features would be good but they don’t work.
Customer service has been a nightmare I ask to speak with someone else and I get an email. I’m so upset I let everyone know how awful they treat customers. I’m notifying chronic illness companies not to recommend this product especially if you have a iOS operating system.
As someone who thought this product would help a horrible condition be made easier with some features, I’m so disappointed. Today I noticed the watch went back to the original screen and all the screens I selected are gone.
I f this is deleted I’m going higher like tv.
