I'm not even getting Gmail notifications on my Sense. Plus the automatic time zone setting keeps turning itself off and won't update time changes. Bugs, bugs and more bugs. Plus still no Google Assistant update. Ugh Thinking about keeping my Active Watch 2 instead.

Hi @SunsetRunner Google assistant is coming with the current firmware that is being rolled out.
I'll assume that you are getting other notifications.
First thing to check is that you get Gmail notifications on the phone while the phone is locked.
Then I would set the main email program for your Gmail app. If this doesn't work, disable this, and try setting gmail up through the app notifications. This way we might do some troubleshooting.

Just got the new Google Assistant update. Maybe that'll fix Gmail notifications never coming through. Wonder if it'll fix changing time zones automatically? Guess I'll see tomorrow. Speaker for calls is embarrassingly low though. And no contacts app so can't even make calls from watch. Kind of wishing maybe I hadn't of returned my Active Watch 2. It was just a better watch for me. Oh well. There'll be something else better and newer come out soon. The Sense sure ain't no flagship watch though. I don't think.

The problem is on the phone. Have you checked the details for your unknown phone model. I assume it is android. Has it been tested as being compatible.
Have you searched these forums for your phone model?

The tracker doesn't care what app sent the notification it receives. It simply displays every notification the phone sends.
There is a reason that the phone is not sending Gmail notifications. The tracker is not the issue.
Does gmail notifications pop up on the screen, even when the phone is locked?
Is Gmail selected under the default mail?
Let's disable it there and tap App Notifications and choose Gmail from here

Just another thought - I have outlook as main email and that came through. For a test I added gmail notifications but they did not come through. This morning I got the update and after that I re-tested and the gmail notification came through together with the earlier test notification! Possibly the restart of the tracker helped.

After uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app on my phone Gmail notifications started coming through. Hopefully it'll last. However, time zones still won't change right, in getting no temp readings after 5 days or no stress score. So not sure what's happening. Running latest Google Assistant update on Pixel 4 XL.

What phone are you asking for help with @Galaxy66? Should I assume that notifications for Text and any other apps like Facebook and Twitter come through?
Have you tried disabling the G-mail notification, and re-enable? This should force the app to request the proper permissions, of which the user will need to agree to.

Have you reviewed the setup instructions? You are all voucher up because the tracker has not received anything to display.

Well, I have now ditched the Sense for now and enabled a fitbit Ionic and still not getting notifications through, I can only assume that my Huawei P30 pro is not fully compatible the fitbit app as doing a search on phone compatibility throws up many issues with that phone.
