@JayCat I also use a Samsung phone. When I switched from using Samsung to Google messages, I had to change it in the device settings in the Fitbit app.

Tap your device icon in the upper left of the Fitbit app. Tap Sense. Tap "Notifications". Tap "Text Messages". Verify that you have the correct default messaging app set here:

Hi @JayCat - you need to visit the Notifications setup and inside App notifications in the Fitbit App.

Any notifications that appear on the phone status bar can be relayed to the watch if enabled and the watch is allowing them (not in Sleep or Do not disturb mode) and the Fitbit App is connecting with the watch ok, it may not be.

See How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? It may shed some light on what may have been missed.

Hello and thank you for reaching out.

I've had my Sense for 2 years, and it was very easy to set up the
notifications back then. I no longer see any way to choose which apps will
send notifications to the watch, however. I continue to get notifications
from the apps I chose 2 years ago, but since switching to Google Messages,
I no longer get text notifications, unless I switch back to my former
texting app.

Bingo! You nailed it! Issue SOLVED! FYI: The icon on the upper left of my
fitbit app shows battery life of the watch, and I never thought it would
lead to anything else.

Thank you! 👊
