No more Sense

For one time I can say I'm glad I don't have "Sense" in my life. The Fitbit Sense. What a refreshing treat to have a different device that syncs properly and provides all of the data that you need. You want a new watch face instantly, you got it. No I'm not talking about a Fitbit product I'm talking about another brand. A $50 tracker in beautiful color display.  Giving me an offer for 35% off another Fitbit product is not cutting it when you sell a subpar product to begin with. Why would one want to buy another one of these devices?

A $50 tracker?

What did you get it out of a claw vending machine? No thank you. I love my sense. I’ve had little to no trouble.

Ah no, Amazon. Ever hear of that place?

Amazfit is not Amazon! It has no relationship with Amazon. I believe it's the same company as the Xiaomi devices.

When I was waiting (over a month!) for my Sense replacement to arrive, I bought a €25 Amazfit Band 5 as a cheap temporary replacement. It doesn't have all the features of the Sense, but it has various fitness, health, and excercise features, including heart rate and oxygen saturation. It also has Amazon Alexa built in.

Best of all, unlike the Sense (the original and the replacement) it stays connected to Bluetooth for days at a time and on the rare occasions when the phone is out of range, it automatically connects when the phone comes back into range.

I'm sick and tired of manually pairing my Sense to my phone multiple times a day. Often I have to restart the watch to force the pairing, and sometimes I also have to restart the phone. Because of  this problem, I miss more than half of my notifications of incoming calls or messages, because it doesn't even warn me that the Bluetooth connection has dropped. (The Amazfit vibrates when the connection drops.) What good is it to be able to answer a phone call on your wrist if you don't get a notification of the call unless the phone is in your pocket?

So the cheap Amazfit Band 5 costs 10% of what I paid for the Sense and does the one thing that's most important to me much more reliably.

Does anyone want to buy a very slightly used Sense? It's the replacement one, which I've only had for a week, and I also bought a new band for it. It works perfectly for exercise, etc. I don't know why it is able to sync those when it can't receive notifications.

Since the recent firmware update, my Sense has been working very well! My original Sense probably didn't need to be replaced; it probably just needed a firmware fix. The replacement had exactly the same problems as the original, and I was on at the point of trying to get a refund instead of another replacement. But now I'm happy with the watch.
