Notifications are not coming through my Sense

Hi guys,

I'm desperately trying to get my Fitbit working properly with my Xiaomi phone after a recent update. I get calls intermittently but no texts/emails, which is what I'm really interested in.

In the app, latest version, I get the red text bar at the top telling me that the Notification Service is not running. - I tried to include a screenie but I'm not allowed to post for some reason...

I've tried all the obvious. Thoughts?

Moderator Edit: Clarified subject

Thanks!

Hi there, @slipd. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Sense.

As a first approach, I'd recommend checking if your Sense is in sleep mode. When sleep mode is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

If the above doesn't describe your issue, please see Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones and/or Why are notifications delayed or missing? depending on your phone.
