Problems with Snore & Noise Detect feature.

I have had ongoing discussions first with telephone CS who then escalated to a supposed higher level tech support.  There have been about 15 emails back and forth with no resolve to my issue.

The problem is that some days the Snore and Noise detect feature provides a snore report and others (the majority of the time) it does not. Out of the 38 days that I have had my Sense, it has worked on 12 days.

Tech support has had me do a factory reset, check to make sure app is updated (it is) and then most recently, uninstall and reinstall the app.  Then they told me I could not put it in sleep mode because this turns off the microphone, it does not as I was able to use the assistant feature and it worked.

I honestly think that tech support has no idea at all what is wrong and that they trying to run out the clock so my 45 days expire allowing me to return the device. I have asked them on numerous occasions to replace it with  brand new device and not a slightly used device. They have said that is not their policy, total BS as the device is still in customer satisfaction window to return.

Has anyone else had issue with Snore & Noise detection?

I know snore detection makes a big battery hit.  Could it be battery level is not high enough to allow recording on some nights?  I suggest checking battery level before each night to see if that corresponds, or make sure to charge it in the evenings.

Most people find the battery usage makes it not practical to use every night but instead use for a few nights just to get a baseline; then check it again in a month or so, or if suspect something has changed.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Johnny,

I make sure my battery is a minimum of 60% each night.

I turned mine on for the first time last night. Do not see a report today. I plan to leave it on for a few nights (keeping battery level up) and see if I get one. I lost 20% battery charge with 5 hours sleep. Normally I loose 20% every 24 hours. Something drained the battery.

In my experience, I found if I left it on during the day, I would have a
snore report the next morning. If I turned it off during the day to
conserve battery and then turned it on at night before going to bed, I
would not get a report the next morning.
The issue lies in the software as I had tried every suggestion from tech
support to remedy this "bug". Hopefully in the future an update will
address the issue.

@Clove6060 Losing that much over night sounds about right. You'll probably get a delayed report tomorrow. You should get one for the next night sleep though.

Thank you for the replies. I am leaving SD on and charging the sense frequently over the next few days/nights. Looking for a baseline at this point.
I’ll report back with success/failure.
