Hi all! I am new to the FitBit world, yesterday I got myself a Sense (the original not Sense 2).
I have a few questions about the product:
1) Can you really swim with it on? I have never swam in a pool with a wearable before so I am sceptical.
2) This may seem like a silly question but does it ALWAYS have to be connected to my phone via Bluetooth? Can it work independently? For example if I go for a run wearing my Sense and leave my phone at home, when I return home and click sync will it be able to log that run?
3) Does anyone want to be 'friends' on there? 😊 I think having more of a social element will really help keep me motivated, as I am just starting my fitness journey and learning about all the settings it is a bit overwhelming. Feel free to add me my userID is C8XKT2.
Thank you in advance!

Hi @emilyzuppy - you can swim with the watch but some watches have poor seals and stop working. Obviously it can be replaced only during the initial warranty period.
Normally the watch can work independently of the phone and if there isn't a problem with the app, any properly recorded activity should get logged. Note: you won't receive any message notifications on the watch while the phone is not connected to the watch.
