My sense keeps recording me doing back stroke rather than freestyle. Is there any way to change this, apart from me improving my stroke technique? 🙂

I have just changed from the ionic to sense. I swim breast stroke and my ionic recorded that correctly but the sense logs me as swimming freestyle!

I have been in touch with support and exchanged several emails on this topic. I sent screenshots of my swim recording on my ionic showing the correct breast stroke and another from my sense which recorded freestyle.
Their last response was to complete a factory reset.
@Fitbit seem to refuse to accept the issue is with the sense.
Does anybody have a Sense which has correctly recorded their swim stroke!

Hi - I swim freestyle and my sense has never recorded my stroke correctly. As with yourself, Fitbit take no interest in trying to rectify this and suggested a factory reset to me. This did nothing at all and it continues to record the wrong stroke. It's a real flaw in this watch.

I agree, Fitbit really take no interest in trying to revolve this and stated, "This is not a common problem". Today I created a separate account and linked my ionic. I wore both for my swim, the ionic recorded my breaststroke correctly, the Sense had me swimming Freestyle.
I sent the data to Fitbit but am not holding my breath.
I will do the Factory reset to appease them and conduct the same test again.
@Fitbit Comments welcome.

I eventually got my firmware upgrade and installed it yesterday. I swam 60 x lengths of breaststroke and 12 x lengths of freestyle. I'm happy to report, (at last), that the sense recorded this correctly.
