Replacement Sense arrived & will not charge

  • Had an ionic, it was recalled. Got the Sense as part of the recall offer. Had the Sense for a couple of months & it stopped working, stuck on the Fitbit logo screen. Called Customer Support to troubleshoot.  Was unsuccessful & was offered to have it replaced. Replacement arrived & it’s been in the charger for a few hrs & it won’t charge. VERY frustrating!!

Did it come with a new charger?

check and make sure all 4 prongs are equally prominent on the charger cable. 
We’re you able to syncs the new sense to your phone.

Check if it is refurbished or recertified device. I got a Sense replacement which is refurbished item for my new faulty Sense pebble. The replacement was not connecting to wifi from the get go. After so many complaints with multiple customer support representatives, they accepted for replacement again. I am hoping it will be a new device instead of refurbished or receritifed. Waiting for the delivery of 2nd replacement.

 

Also be aware of 45 day limit from the date of purchase to request a refund.

I am having an issue with my charger as well - one of the prongs is recessing into the charger when i attach it to the watch.  So my watch won't charge.  had it about 2 months.

VERY common problem.

The Bluetooth on my Sense died about 3 days after it arrived, the replacement has worked fine.

 

The week after it arrived though it stopped charging. Turned out to be the recessed pin syndrome.

Google research revealed it is a very common problem. It is always the same earth pin.

Opinion appears to be that the projecting charge pins short out on the metal body of the watch when you connect it and sometimes blow the spring, which seems to act as a fuse. 3 power pins, one earth pin, makes no sense (pun intended).

 

I went and bought another cable.

 

My solution has been to always connect the cable to the watch BEFORE plugging the USB into the charger.

I haven't had a repeat of the problem in the weeks since.

Hi @TT1188  - you will need a new charge cable. Contact Fitbit, via chat in the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support, or get one online.

Speak to customer support and consider buying another more robust one on line as a backup.

No, replacement did not come w/ a new charger. 
know my charger works because it will charge the other Sense (the one that’s stuck on the Fitbit logo).

No, not able to sync new Sense to phone.

I’m wondering if this one is a refurbished too. Since I cannot get it to charge it also won’t connect to Wi-Fi.
