Resting Heart Rate jumps up every time battery dies

I’ve noticed a trend where every time my sense battery dies, my resting heart rate shoots up several points once the device turns back on. It can be as much as 5 points in the matter of time

it took me to recharge my sense. Otherwise, my RHR fluctuates only by +/- a point every week or so. Anyone else have this? Any way to correct the issue?

Hello @RossPJ01 and welcome to the Help forums.  The type of battery in a Sense, actually every Fitbit, is the type of battery that will have a much shorter total lifespan if you regularly use it until the battery dies.  You should not let the charge go below 20-25% for better battery lifespan.

I'm not sure what you are describing.  Your RHR gets calculated over the day.  I'm not sure what you mean by a RHR change over "the matter of time."

I’ll keep that in mind about the battery, thanks!

I mean that my RHR was reading at 51 in the morning - this is my average reading. Then my batter died, so I put the device on the charger until it was fully charged. I put the Fitbit sense back on my wrist later that morning, and my RHR was now reading 56 - which is not a typical reading for me at all. This same pattern has happened 2 or 3 times for me now. Just wondering if this happens to anyone else?

@RossPJ01   Since you say that this happens when your battery dies and now you know that letting your battery die is a bad idea, I think you should continue to watch for odd behavior now that you will care for your battery properly.
