Retrospective Calorie Changes

I log all my fitness data on a spreadsheet outside of fitbit.  I've only just noticed that all my daily calorie data has changed a little from what was logged at the time.  The changes are relatively small all about 10 to 25 calories less but it doesn't seem to make much sense.

It would be easy to test - try updating your weight to be as it was and see if the calories change back. You can always delete the weight log entry afterwards,

Have you updated your weight or other profile settings? Any changes to these will affect all data.

I've updated my weight, but I didn't think this would impact past data.

That's the answer!!!  If you add a new weight it reduces your previous calories burnt.  I haven't checked how far back it changes the data, but it is at least a month.

It makes absolutely no sense at all.
