Sense Bluetooth is failing

The Bluetooth connection to the Fitbit sense is very erratic and there are apps and clockfaces that used to work flawlessly that do not work now.

I can not even get weather to work. Need location etc… errors…

ECG does not work because it can’t connect to phone.

I have checked everything. I did a factory reset and for awhile I thought it was bricked but eventually I got it to work.

When I force a sync, typically it does not sync and when I check a little later, it shows it happens at random times.

Am I the only person who is having trouble with this?

Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Welcome back to the community forums @rschmidt1957

Thank you for the details regarding this difficulty that you have been experiencing with your Sense and thank you for trying to fix it on your own.

Please, try to set up the the smartwatch as a new device:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Turn your Fitbit device off and back on. See How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Turn your phone off and back on.
  4. If you have trouble connecting your watch to Wi-Fi, see Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi?
  5. Remove all other Fitbit devices from your Fitbit account. For instructions, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?
  6. Remove your Fitbit device from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone or tablet:
    1. On your phone, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
    2. Tap the information icon or gear icon next to the name of your Fitbit device.
    3. Find the option to forget the device.
  7. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app. Note: Before you uninstall the app, verify that your phone is running a supported version of Android OS. If your phone is on an older version, you won’t be able to reinstall the app. For OS requirements, see Fitbit-compatible devices.
