All was working fine but accidentally turned off Sense Controls in the watch Settings.
Is there an easy way to turn it on again?
As this is a common issue, establishing a simple solution would be good.
Troubleshooting effects
Toggle on options in Bluetooth - failed
Toggling Bluetooth - no effect
Today pull down Refresh in the app - no effect
Resync in the Device in the app - no effect
Select On-Wrist calls - no effect
Make sure Calls in the app enabled - no effect
Restart watch - no effect
Unpairing Sense Controls - made it worse
Today pull down Refresh in the app - no effect
Resync in the Device in the app - no effect
Restart watch - no effect
It seems nothing would enable pairing or even finding Sense Controls in Bluetooth once removed.

Finally found how to restore Bluetooth Sense Controls and repair Sense Controls pairing
After the various restarts, it was necessary to
Login to the Fitbit app Click on profile photo [top left] With the device already there Click setup device And install the device again Verify on-wrist calls In Bluetooth Settings, Sense Controls Click the gear and turn on the options |

These suggestions did not work for me. It says connected on my phone but then on the watch it continues spinning and never connects. Couple more seconds and the phone says not connected.
i’ve even tried the forget device and re set up the device going through all the steps and still doesn’t connect.
tried Bluetooth toggle, refresh, resync, complete reset and there are no updates are showing.
i have had this watch for maybe a week and only ever had one call immediately after set up to try it.
the watch constantly has to blue tooth synced to my phone also which is a complete pain in the butt.
considering returning back to my charge 5 as the battery also goes dead in 2 days time and I do not have the always on feature on either. Tried the customer service and it’s always no one available pops up. Not a fan of the forums as I get lost in the comments but giving this one try

HI @Rhunter7617 - did you by any chance remove the old device from your phone's Bluetooth and from the Fitbit App, logout and restart the phone?
Then try login, go to the phone home screen, without closing the app, click on the sync popup to get the Sense to pair and link.
The reason it needs to be connected all the time is to pass notifications and phone calls.
There are some online help articles which may help
Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2460.htm?Highlight=Sense%20controls
The short battery life is due to Snore detection and SpO2 tracker app - see more here How to resolve the Major issues causing short battery life.
Hope some of that helps, and we can get it working for you.

If by remove you mean forget device on Bluetooth -yes
fitbit app I “removed this sense” and then reinstalled it to the app -yes
logged out yes
restart phone by shutting it off and turning it back on yes
i have an iPhone so I’m not sure the Home Screen is what I need to do but I went back to the Bluetooth settings and tried to. connect and it still says sense controls connects them 2 seconds later says not connected and the watch when Bluetooth says connected just spins the entire time until it stops and then not connected.
sync now doesn’t work either
I’m awRe why it needs to stay connected for calls etc but it’s doesn’t stay connected and now won’t connect sense controls.
mid the battery goes dead faster because of the two apps it uses that are different from the charge 4 then they can’t advertise that it stays for 6+ days then. That’s just false advertising b/c they list all those features with it.
i meant the display is set to NOT always on as suggested in other posts about battery problems

The article you referenced is the one I followed to begin with and followed all those steps as well as the other link within that article. It doesn’t work

@Rhunter7617 - thanks, for information
It is normal that Sense Controls does not stay connected, it is auto connected when there is a call or need for it.
On-Wrist calls in the app is where you set it up, in Bluetooth you may need to turn it on for that to work.
Otherwise you shouldn't need to go to Bluetooth other than to unpair the entries, if there is a problem, as the Sense and Sense Controls are paired with the Fitbit App which takes care of it, they can't be paired manually.
Go to the home screen means leave the Fitbit App without closing it.
You shouldn't normally need to remove your tracker from the app.
Always On only drains the battery a bit
SpO2 tracker drains more, as mentioned in the advertising
GPS also as mentioned
Snore detection is new and drains a lot.

So if GPS drains it then why didn’t it when I had my charge 4? The Spo2 I also did have with Charge 4 once it updated so the only difference is the snore report.
again it isn’t sending calls nor notifications to my watch so the auto connect then isn’t working being i’ve gone through all the steps multiple times. It also has the box with a line through it saying that it’s not connected to my phone yet sense in the Bluetooth says connected.
sense controls is not connected
how do I rectify this? In my me day the battery life dropped to 54% so I’m getting 2 days and have to charge it.

@Rhunter7617- the fact that your watch us not syncing properly and the snore report could cause your battery drain.
BYW, if you have a box with a line through it you won't get notifications or calls. The Sense Bluetooth entry handles that connectivity, not Sense controls which won't be used if there is no connectivity.
There is obviously something special with your phone causing syncing issues so in the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support, they may be able to help you more with the specifics.
