Sense Display is Dull and Murky

Even at "Max Brightness", it is dull and murky, compared to my Versa Lite. It looks like they've sacrificed true "brightness" for more battery life. As quickly as these things charge, why why why? It's like booting up my Chrome book and settling for a murky screen that somebody else decided on for me. Still trying to find reasons to like this. Try as I might, can not find useful benefits of this upgrade.

It is not (nor has it ever been) in the sleep mode. I have it adjusted to "Max" brightness. It does not hold a candle to my Versa 2 Lite. In comparison, it is dull, dark and murky. It's something they call "adaptive brightness", so even if you have it adjusted to Max, it still decides for YOU, how bright it will be, depending upon the ambient light in whatever room or locale you in which you are standing.

If it is as you say it is when fully charged, its not normal, it may just be faulty and needs replacing.

Check first another clock face but its probable it will be the same.

Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

I did compare this to other (active) Fitbit Sense Devices, it is "normal" by that standard.

That is odd because the Sense display is one of its better features, greater clarity and brilliance. Its certainly better than my Versa, so you must have a super duper Versa!

I have a normal Versa Lite. I've compared this to my Versa Lite and my Girlfriend's Versa 2, both have brightness levels that are much greater than my new Sense. I've also compared this to Sense watches in the showroom (at Best Buy and Fry's Electronics). You're missing the whole point here: the Fitbit Sense has "adaptive brightness", which I've mentioned early on, THAT is at the heart of this problem. Whereas, the Versa Lite does not.

You are right the Adaptive brightness works also on Max , not just Normal as I had first thought. [and Dim also].

Unfortunately there is no corrector to how rapidly and effectively it adjusts.

On mine its fine, its the Vibrate that poor, rapidly losing oomph as the battery level declines.
