Update 6/14/2021:
This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in this article, and then provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist.
We’re excited to announce that a firmware update for Sense will be available soon! Some of you may already have this update available - if you installed it, let us know what you think!
If you don’t see the update yet, that’s expected. Check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We expect everyone to receive the update in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
Did you know that we gradually release our updates? We do this to make sure everything is working just right for you. Sometimes we find an issue and it might take a little longer than expected for everyone to get the update. While you might see suggestions on how to “force” an update, we ask that you don’t try any of these workarounds. Most of the time the update won’t be available and you can lose data or encounter other difficulties. The best way to get the update is to be patient and wait for the update banner to appear in the Fitbit app.

Really looking forward to getting this update... one day... It would be nice if Fitbit would allow users to opt-in to updates instead of dribbling it out gradually to the userbase. Either that or have a robust testing program that would give you this type of testing feedback in advance and then actually release the software on release day.
Just a thought. Saying "It's here*" and then qualifying in the support forums "*..and you'll be able to get it in a few weeks." isn't a great user story.

I only started having the battery drain issue after this sense firmware update. I am using an iPhone.
I performed the factory reset as a last resort today and it has indeed fixed the battery issue. Made sure to sync all my data before hand and then follow the set up and pair with my phone.
Thanks for this suggestion

If you don’t mind explaining, I never fully understood what data is lost during a factory reset. When you synced your watch before reset, exactly what was lost? I read where your account is not deleted. Does that mean that all the data as of the last sync is retained on your account and you just need to redo the settings on your watch/app?

After the factory reset the only thing that was lost was the extra apps that I had added to my sense. Even the watch faces I had selected came back through from my Fitbit account.

Thank you! That is good to know. Makes me feel much better about doing a factory reset if need be.

apologies for asking the same question again and again. Is the issue with the breathing rate data fixed with this firmware? I had 2 BR in 6 months and last time I checked I was breathing.

Just got my banner to update to 44.128.5.38 from
44.128.4.17. Updated without issue and everything seems good.
If issues with data over next 24 hrs, I’ll report back.
Below is the banner I saw at the top of my app when accessed. It showed up around 7 a.m.
I had been in the app several hours prior.
I did have to use Bluetooth to download. For some reason wifi did not work, so I selected Bluetooth and it proceeded without issue.

I got the update this afternoon. It was a smooth 5 min update, so far so good. I like the clock face swap. Convenient being able to swap to "Zone face" in a second.
What I would like to know is which bugs they have addressed. The general phrase "Bug fixes and improvements is not very informative.

Seems to be a bug with the timer app on latest firmware (didn't have this problem before updating):
I tell google assistant to set a countdown timer for 10 minutes. Timer starts ticking down.
After a few minutes I then use the stopwatch for one minute. Then I exit the timer app (~ 5mins left on the 10min timer.. still ticking down) and then the 10 minute timer never goes off / vibrates. I go back into timer app and it seems to have reset / frozen.
Seems to have happened two days in a row now where timer doesn't notify me. This and the fact that the screen now shuts off while using the stopwatch with new firmware makes the watch a lot less useful to me.. I need to be able to trust the timer.

Finally got the update today. Pretty easy process. Only problem is that google assistant can't hear anything. Any time I ask it to do something it doesn't recognize that i spoke. A big part of the reason I bought the sense was for Google assistant and it sucks it doesn't work!

I also just realized that one of the standard Fitbit apps has been removed with this update (my ECG app is now moved up one position) - no mention of what was "removed" in this update 😞

Go into the apps and update it. It will appear again.

I got the update today and it looks fine however I don't get a voice response from google assistant. Is there a place I need to activate this?

@thep3000 I hadn't noticed there is a stopwatch😂. I tried your scenario three times, and it worked fine. Maybe a "hiccup" in some file? I would try to reinstall the app.
----------------------------------------
I can speak to assistant in both Norwegian, English, French and the other languages I speak. I suppose it is controlled by language settings in Google Assistant. I can set an alarm, ask for weather forecast and so on, except for one thing "How did I sleep last night?" The response is " I'm sorry, I can't do this with Google Fit on this device". I thought it might be a permission issue in Google Fit, but no all permissions are granted.
A clue why, anyone?

I called 4 times Mama_Lady, the call disconnected every single time and the furthest I got was to say I have a problem..
--------------------------------
I have the same problem, Google assistant doesn't use the speakers and the speaker icon is greyed out/off, where does this get turned on ?

Not sure it's a good thing to ask (as people here are saying they see problems with their sense after upgrade) but 8 days after the release and still - no update.
is there a manual trigger for that?
cause i understand what rolling upgrade is, but 8 days? it's a very slow rolling indeed.

Hi @dvdscr
I don't remember where, but I read somewhere, probably in an Android community it has been said the roll out will go on for weeks. I think it sounds ridiculous, but on the other hand, it is Fitbit we are talking about here...

Thanks,
very ridicules.
it's only one HW and they don't support all android phones anyway (i'm pretty sure they don't even test on the huawei/xiamoi phones).
took them 6 months to go out with some fixes, gees.

@LokeAa my guess is that the update has been taken down due to issues with increased power consumption. It would be a very bad idea to continue with this particular firmware update without sorting out the battery issue first.
