Sense Frozen on Logo Screen

Randomly my Sense became frozen in the Logo screen.  It won’t turn off or do the factory reset.  According to customer service I’m “SOL” and it’s dead.  “Sorry” they said.  Say it ain’t so!!  Anyone have any advice?  Hey FItBIT… send ya girl a new one bc I can’t afford a new one.  Regretting this $400 purchase.

Hi Deb,

To reset your sense hold the button for 10 seconds the screen should go dark and the logo should appear and your phone should restart.

Unfortunately, my phone is currently stuck and cannot be factory reset.
I hope you have better fortune than I.

Best regards,

Dave

Right?!?  Clearly it’s a THEM problem and they should stand behind their products.  So disappointing.

Mine did the same thing and mine is only a 16 months old at that. I instant message customer support and s/w Sophia who told me they need a team to research it and to watch my email in a couple hours for a reply. She also asked me where I purchased the phone, Kohls, but didn't want any info on the phone and asked me to take a survey and said bye. No email as of yet. Not cool. $300 down the drain. This will be my last fit bit watch. Recommendations for a better one?

mine did the same now the screen stays blank but you can feel it vibrate. the online fit bit site shows my battery is half full but nothing will restart.

That is frustrating!  I was on with customer support yesterday and they had me try to reset the watch at least 20 times - my thumb still hurts. Then they gave me a 35% off discount to buy a new Fitbit since my Sense is out of warranty.  I don’t want to spend lots on an Apple Watch so I think I’ll get the Charge 5 with the coupon.

Exact same thing I said. I’m wasting 1/2 year on my membership because I REFUSE to buy another thing from this company. I loved their watches, but after this, SHAME on them.

Amazfit has a pretty good line of trackers/watches and is a little cheaper in price.  Lots of reviews and comparisons online as well.

Sooooo…. I must have restarted it 100 times.. Then I let the battery die to where it actually said 0% in red on the display.. I charged it for a few minutes, and began restarting it again until it died again. When I restarted it again, I got a red X that said it was not wiped out prior to being removed!! I shut it down again and restarted it next to my phone. And the rest is history. It is working again!! Sounds like a pain but it worked.

Kirk

Kirk,

I’m glad it works for you

I allowed my sense to discharge to 0%,then began to charge it,but it did not help. It just began flashing the logo off and on again I just read an article about the short life expectancy of Fitbit products.

They appear to have a lifetime of a 16 to 18 months.

I thought I was going crazy.  My watch has been working perfectly until 2 days ago.  I’m having the same issue.  I’m not happy at all.  Total bs. For so many to have the same issue it’s not the user …

My Sense died at the young age of 16 months. 😢

Reading some articles reveals this is not uncommon.
Ordered an Apple series 8 and believe it will actually be less expensive over its expected 4-5 year life than the Sense.
Fitbit insulted by offering a 35% discount.
Apparently the watch is not repairable and 4 months out of warranty only rates 35% off on a device that may likely last a little over a year.
Unless Apple really screws up Fitbit has lost a customer forever.
I expect they will go the way of Palm.
I really liked the Fitbit app, but it looks like the Apple Watch will do everything sense did and more. I’m sure I’ll get used to it.

Best of luck to you all!

I couldn’t agree with you more. I’m switching to Apple after absolutely refusing to. I’ve had Fitbits for probably 7 years or so and have had one problem that was fixed because it was under warranty. But I’m not spending another cent with them. They could give me one for free at this point and I wouldn’t use it. Good luck to you too.
