I've been wanting to go back to Fitbit (the app is SO MUCH better than what my current apple watch can offer) but I read that the Sense's HR function is ridiculously bad. As HR tracking and calories would be my main reason to get it (although I do want the smartwatch capabilities as well), I'd like to know if the issue is fixed or not. Can't find a straight answer on fitbit forums.
Best AnswerBased on what I see, I would say no. Hasnt been a firmware update since forever. I think Sense is abandonware with effort going into Sense II. Not much sign of any bug fixing at all. Other fitbit models are supposed to be much better but I am totally put off by fitbit lack of support.
Best AnswerThere are reports of a new firmware being pushed to users so we can actually hope for it but personally i don't believe in it as the problem seems to me hardware related.
Best Answer@Rufous44 no any new FW here yet either. My Sense sits on the FW from end of last year. Anyway, I don't expect any groundbreaking changes with Sense 2 and Versa 3 coming (if we can believed leaked pictures at 9to5google page).
Best AnswerLet's not hold too much hope, after all we have this wonderful response from a Moderator telling us that Fitbit has given up trying to fix the issue. Call me a pessimist, but the fix will come in the form of the Sense 2 or Versa 4.... All you will need to do is buy one of those to get a working (as advertised) Fitbit.
