Sense Heart Rate BPM is not accurate

Several indications of the inaccuracy of the FitBit Sense BPM (beats per minute):

Quick notes about placement of the FitBit device. I used a loose Velcro wrist band (similar to what weight lifters use) to keep the device in place. The software is up to date.

1. When compared the same period wearing a medical device (Holter monitor), there was a noticeable difference in the BPM.

2. When I felt my heart "beating out of my chest", the watch face showed anywhere from 97 to 110. The ECG function on the Sense showed  upwards of 160. I repeated ECG for up to 20 minutes, with the same outcome, 160 bpm. I confirmed the BPM rate with a pulse oximeter.

3. Even when the ECG function showed AFib, I did not get an AFib notification.

Hi @AllGold - if you look through the forums you will see reports of watches after the Versa 2 don't have reliable HR during movement or exercise.

Normally they fair better when you are still, so sleep should be more representative.
