Sense Sleep Mode and DND settings stuck on

In my Sense, the Do Not Disturb and Sleep Mode are both “on” and are both locked with messages that the other function needs to be turned off before I can change the setting. Now I don’t get any notifications, nor do I have an active screen upon moving my wrist. HELP!

Thanks!! FitBit actually pushed another update and the issue resolved itself after charging and going through the new update. I had tried the soft reboot and that hadn’t worked.

try holding the side button for like 10-15 seconds don't let go until the watch reboots or shows the fitbit logo I noticed a lot of folks give up on trying a soft reboot because they see the Fitbit Pay message pop up just keep holding it down until it does a soft reboot this should get you out of sleep mode & do not disturb. If that fails to fix the issue i would suggest a factory reset UHHH it sucks because you will then have to drop it from the app and reinstall the whole firmware all over again ya know like when your first got the watch and had to do the 4 digit code thing. Try the soft boot first just hold the button on the side until watch restarts up. I hope this helps you out.

So I also have the sleep mode and do not disturb simultaneously on.  The instructions say this is impossible.  It's a new Sense.  I tried everything in previous posts and completely resynced the device with no luck.  Because these are both set to on I cannot turn either off and I cannot adjust settings.   I need assistance.  Thank you

Welcome, @melscrat. It's nice to see a new face around the forums.

Thanks for sharing these details with me. I'm sorry you're having this experience and to look into this, may I know if you see the Sleep Mode icon in purple and the DND icon in teal color at the same time? Are the other quick settings icons such as Screen Wake unresponsive to tap? Have you tried turning off those settings from the Settings app > Quiet Modes?

If you've not done so, please restart your watch to refresh its performance, open the Fitbit app, pull down on the screen to force a manual sync and monitor its behavior in the next days.

Hi,

my dnd and sleep mode are both stuck to on and saying I can’t turn one off without the other, both saying the same thing. I’ve restarted the watched, re paired, deleted the app re installed it, no new updates. Not sure how I can turn Dnd off

Hi @Ld2022 - Normally if you swipe the watch face to the right to get to Quick Settings you can turn off the Sleep and Do not disturb icons.

Hi, I was troubleshooting this on a sense and kept trying to use the settings scrolling to the right. Did all the same stuff as you, and spent a lot of time trying to figure it out. Made sure updates were installed etc. I had given up for the night and ran across this thread:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Sense/Turn-off-quot-Sleep-mode-quot-on-Fitbit-Sense/td-p/4684866

Essentially there are really nondescript bubbles scrolling to the left... one with a moon and one a minus. The moon was lit up on this sense and I selected it to disable... apparently that was sleep mode. Needless to say I felt silly and it's a very poor setup on fitbit's part.  At any rate, I don't know if this is your issue, too, but maybe it will help to share.

Omg - thank you so much for posting this! I was so intent on trying to (unsuccessfully) change the settings that it never occurred to me to try swiping to the shortcuts. Yep - there it was, I had somehow bumped Sleep Mode on 🤦‍:male_sign:. Problem solved.
