@JuanFitbit I hope the Fitbit/Google developers realize how widespread and important this problem is, and don't downplay its importance because they don't see complaints about one particular app. I'm seeing posts about this problem all over the place. And they pop up in different applications so it is not obvious that they are all related to the same issue and all could be solving by fixing the same one problem. Apps are as varied as temperature units in weather app, clock settings, irregular heart beat settings, on and on.

Well spoken @JohnnyRow
@JuanFitbit - how the fault affects Fitbit and it's users is bad enough but it also adversely affects the developers whose free contributions can be stopped from working and for which they can do nothing about and unfairly puts their work and reputation into question.
It is puzzling that users have to wait months for fixes to problems introduced in the unwanted update 3 months ago.
When using the older V3 Fitbit App there is no problem. Making that old version available [as a legacy app] would resolve all the ongoing problems immediately. This is clearly the users wish from the forums.
Please ask the development team to consider the users wishes. This would give them time to iron out all the current V4 problems and release a new properly working version.
