after downloading the new firmware I noticed that the battery usage is more than what I expected. I charged it during the download and started using it after I got full charged. After 8 hours of used, the battery remaining 80%. I don’t think it can last 6 full days anymore. How am I going to overcome this? I put to sleep mode at least 12 hours every night and I don’t use it for call and the light level is dim. No gps and just for looking at the time

Hi @Shax88. It's good to see you around.
Thanks for sharing that your Sense firmware was updated and I'm sorry that the battery quickly drained afterwards. As you may know, the Sense should last 6+ days, however it's expected to see the battery draining a little bit after an update because of the time it takes to be completed along with the WiFi usage. The battery life will also depend on how frequent certain features are used, such as the SpO2 Signature or an animated clock face, or if the Always-On Display is turned on.
That being said, I'd recommend to fully charge your watch one more time making sure to use the charging cable that came in the box and follow the tips described in this help article to maximize the battery life. If the issue persists, please let me know so I can help you with this matter.
Keep me posted.

I followed what you said. The next charge supposed to be on Saturday evening for 6 days usage but I saw the battery is 20% left. Still got around 36 to go. As I said, I am not an extreme user. No gps, no checking on spo 2, put to sleep during evening, no taking calls.a decent user and yet the battery drained off faster than the update last week. I just discovered my sense couldn't sync to my phone. I starting to feel insecure after using your product after a month. Please help. It really feel faulty.

Hello,
This problem is still occurring since the update on my sense as well. Before that it worked fine. I can now use it for 2 days before I have charge it again. That is at least 1 day shorter then before the update. I’ll hope that you can fix this ASAP.
Kind regards Marcel

I'm having the same issue. Have it set to dim, no gps, hardly use it. Not even 20 hours after I charged it it's 73%

Same here. After updating to 5.1 and 5.1.1, battery has drastically reduced and drains about twice as fast, even after factory resetting the watch.

Tried all the steps / tips already. Also did a factory reset. It's definitely because of the new firmware 5.1/5.1.1

I've also noticed that my Sense has only been lasting 2-3 days since the update for 5.1. I finally decided to see if anyone else had the issue and it seems like there are, and that the update released 2 days ago didn't fix anything.
Prior to 5.1, the sense was definitely getting close to the advertised 6 days, so it seems like the 5.1 firmware update has something to do with the lesser battery life. Seems to me fitbit either needs to figure out and fix this new firmware killing battery life or they need to revisit their labelling of 6 days of battery life.
I've been using the SpO2 watch face since the day I got it. may test out using the boring default stock one for a few days to see if that makes any difference.

Hi @wizll. It's good to see you here in the forums.
Thanks for your efforts. As you may know, the battery life will depend on how frequent certain features are used. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, but as with any other electronic device the features will impact its battery. If you're using an animated clock face, GPS connection, tracking your SpO2 data or the Always-On Display, you may have to charge your Sense more often. That being said, I'd recommend to fully charge your watch and double check the tips to maximize the battery life described here. Please make sure to use the charging cable that came in the box.
Keep me posted.

Having exactly same problem as others describing here. After recent upgrade battery is draining much faster. It used to last 6 days. I'm not heavy user of gps at all. Mainly checking just time from the watch.
How to get this fixed?

Hi @Oopee. It's good to see you in this thread.
Thanks for the information. As you may know, there are factors that impact the battery life of the Sense. While you're not a heavy user of GPS, let me share that if the built-in GPS is used continuously your Sense will have a battery life up to 12 hours. Additionally, some other features such as the Always-On Display, animated clock face or tracking SpO2 data will require you to charge your Sense more often. That being said, may I know if you've followed the tips from this help article? Are your charging your watch with the charging cable that came in the box? After the update did you change any setting on your watch? Please provide me with these details so I can investigate on my end.
I look forward to your response.

This is happening to me too. Since the last update my battery is draining much quicker and I bought it for the 6day battery life. I am not using the GPS, I haven't changed anything different on my fitbit only the update. Are Fitbit going to fix this problem?
