Hi
I got fairly new watch (1 month old) and is used minimally. So I charge and turn it off, my watch is loosing battery even after shutdown and when I plan to use it after few days, usually find 0% battery on watch. Any advices ?

Hi @Wrontwrist - did you verify that it was actually fully charged on the watch, swipe right to get to Quick Settings, before shutdown.
There can be problems with the charge cable where it doesn't actually charge.

Watch showing 100%. I used it for few hours and sometimes a day. Battery depletion normal at time it on. Shutdown at end of day. Everything turned off watch fully off, no lights, no response on button/touch (settings>shutdown)
Expected result: battery should retain charge.
Actual result : in a day or 2 watch battery fully drained just like it would have if watch was turned on.

This is the same problem with my Fitbit sense and purchased it only three months ago. Kindly give a proper solution as shutting down the watch should ideally retain the battery.
Thanks

Hi @Multisport - batteries lose energy over time and energy is required for essential services even when off.
What is it you are try to achieve that you require a solution to?
By turning a smartwatch off you lose all the features it provides, and it doesn't even tell the time..

Hi @Guy_ I'm sure energy is required for essential services but when the watch is switched off how can it get any connection to internet or phone to gather info and use battery. Hence the battery should not dra
I would like Fitbit to resolve this issue through some software upgrade or maybe help with a reasonable technical solution.
Thanks.

@Multisport- the watch has a clock inbuilt which needs to be powered when off. It doesn't use wifi, Bluetooth or phone when off.
What do you want Fitbit to resolve?

Using a PIC16F and a ST "flight sense" LASER time of flight distance measuring sensor taking 4 reads per second my proximity sensor design draws an average current of 9 micro-amps. Does this answer your question as to battery life?

I have same issue. My Sense is only a few months old. When shut down, energy consumption should be minimal (maybe 1% or less per day). However, energy consumption is sometimes 25% or more per day during shut down. This should not happen.

Hi @RichInArizona - what you say is correct, but just to be sure, did you use Shutdown from the watch Settings menu or just leave it blank? The reason is daily consumption when on and blank can arrive at 25%.
