Sense clock face screen is black but the rest work

So my wife's FB Sense doesn't appear to "wake up" anymore.  EXCEPT if I swipe any of the direction the proper screens appear.  It basically looks like the main screen is black and won't work.  Tried the 10-sec reboot to no avail.  Any ideas?  Thx.

Sounds like it’s a sleep mode swipe right if you see a moon icon and uncheck it. If this is not the case Holden the button until there’s a soft reboot that could be anywhere from 15 to 30 seconds

Sleep mode is off.  I only tried the reboot after a ten second hold.  I hold the button longer to see if that resets it.

Had a black face with time in white letters, instead of my usual clock face. The moon icon had no checks. Swiping right, I could see the alarm icon but nothing happened when I tapped on it. Anyway, tried soft reboot and suddenly everything was normal again. Thank you.
