Please note that Fitbit controls only connects to Bluetooth whilst in use I.e making/receiving a call. Please see below from Fitbit help pages:

Note that Sense Controls or Versa 3 Controls might be listed as “Not Connected” in the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone. When you receive a phone call, the controls automatically reconnect. This feature requires more frequent charging.

Thanks - great spot!  Fitbit would do well to point these things out up front. Would be really helpful Fitbit folks ....?

My sense controls keep disconnecting and it doesn’t pick back up on Bluetooth when I receive a text or phone call. Texts are enabled on my phone and my sense controls Will say paired on my device and not connected on my Bluetooth. I try to forget the device and repair, and it works for a minute and then goes back to being disconnected again and doesn’t allow me to receive calls or texts. So any idea on this?

Hello @Campmeg83 Welcome to the Community Forums! Thank you for the troubleshooting steps that you've followed prior to posting!

Can you confirm if you have a compatible mobile device? The Fitbit app was optimized to work on certain mobile devices to ensure the connection with a Fitbit device, and the performance of its features. For a list of compatible devices, please check:

Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

In the meantime, if you have any other devices connected to your phone's Bluetooth, I recommend removing them and setup the Sense controls one more time and keep an eye on the behavior. Other devices connected to your phone may cause interference as well. For more information, check:

How do I take on-wrist phone calls with my Fitbit smartwatch? and How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

I look forward to your reply.

Thanks for the message. I’m using an iPhone 12Pro iOS 14.3.

It has improved but is unpredictable still.

@Meribelman Thank you very much for the information!

I was reviewing the list of compatible devices and it seems that your mobile device hasn't been added yet. Take into consideration that while some features may work, some others will encounter some compatibility issues. But I recommend checking back later to see if your phone has been added to the list to be fully compatible with the Fitbit App.

I purchased a Sense, and this is happening to me too, it’s very frustrating.  I couldn’t find my phone, and used ‘Find My Phone’ and didn’t work bc it ‘Sense Controls’ was ‘not connected’... I have a Apple 8 plus, and I’ve removed Sense Control and added it back on several times... why can’t it just stay on?

I just got the Sense maybe a month ago and am having the same issues! I have the new iPhone SE and would always get notifications on my Versa (the original) but switching to Sense I never get notifications anymore

I suggest tweeting Fitbit support. They have proved very helpful.

I have exactly the same. It’s so frustrating

I keep having the same thing happen on my S21.  It will be connected and working fine.  Next thing I know it stops connecting.  I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting, buy the "Sense Cintrols" keeps disappearing from the list of devices found in the Bluetooth device list.    Super frustrating to deal with this weekly!

Same here! Except my old watch was an Ionic, which never, ever had these issues.  Wonder why they had to overcomplicate the issue and not keep with what worked?

Same issue here. Sense Controls refusing to connect. I'm using a Samsung S10e. It worked before. Tried connecting via bluetooth settings on the phone and it says I have to try connecting via Sense Controls but I can't figure out where to do that. I've tried restarting both devices, unpairing and repairing... what else can I do?

I never used to have this problem until my latest 2 Fitbit devices. I'm super frustrated about this now, especially since my phone has zero problems connecting to my daughter's Ace 2, but my super expensive Sense will not stay connected. Ugh.
