Thank you BASANDY for this explanation!! Thank you!!
I wish FitBit made this clearer to the user. I have probably ‘forget device’/‘connect’ SENSE CONTROLS 20 times when it wasn’t necessary. What a waste of time.

Sense Control seems to affect notifications as well. If it's not on, you don't get calls or notifications, at least in my case. I gave up. What bothers me most, is the battery drainage.

@janmarbol I think we figured out it's the snore and noise detection which you are keeping it on because of your narcolepsy right? Honestly, considering Fitbit is the only watch that I'm aware of with that feature and can still get 2-3 days of battery is actually impressive. Most smartwatches are lucky to get a whole day or two.
Did you try my suggestion for someone else to turn on "always vibrate" for notifications?

I am having the same issue with my new Fitbit Sense that I have had about a month.
I am using a brand new Google Pixel 6 Pro and I have to reconnect/sync the Bluetooth at least every couple of hours.
Is there any way to avoid having to constantly re-sync it?

@lizmcarothers Welcome to the Fitbit community.
I have a 6 Pro as well and doing that every couple of hours is definitely not normal. First, how do you know you need to reconnect? Are you getting a disconnected symbol on your Sense even though you're right next to your 6 Pro? Second, how are you reconnecting exactly? Are you doing the delete Sense option and then adding it again in the Fitbit app? You shouldn't have to mess with the 6 Pro's Bluetooth settings.

I have a Samsung A51 with android 10, I have done everything including resetting my phone, disconnecting Bluetooth and reconnecting, re syncing, And I still keep disconnecting from my Bluetooth and it won't re connect. My messages still come through but I can not do hands free call through the watch or voice dictate messages. Any ideas? I am getting very frustrated. When I reset it, it will work for a couple of hours then stop.

I am having the same problem. I received it as Christmas gift and it worked perfectly until a month or so ago. I restart, disconnect, reconnect, etc. It will work fine for a while and then it will disconnect a bunch of times in a row. My co-worker has the same problem with hers. We have completely different phones and operating systems. It is very frustrating. I never had this problem with my Charge2.

I just received my new Sense to replace my Ionic. Never had an issue with the Ionic. I managed to get my Sense connected and paired as per the instructions. When the face is on, the Sense shows incoming calls. When the face is off, the Sense does nothing until I hear my iPhone 10 ringing and only when I touch my Sense, it then wakes up and shows there is an incoming call. I call that useless. With my Ionic, I was able to see messages and calls anywhere with the ionic in sleep mode

Mine is doing the same thing. I have the iPhone XR and have tried all the suggestions. It’s one of the reasons I want a smart watch so it’s very frustrating.

Thank you. The pattern I see is I receive one call, it disconnects and I no longer receive any calls. I keep having to re-pair to Bluetooth.
