Day 1 of the sense. I was at work. Typing and talking. Says I did over 1000 steps just doing that. No walking involved.
At midnight resets to zero, watched tv, went to bed and got my on the bus. Already 1400 steps. Guarantee it wasnt 1400
I forsee this being returned. Obviously not accurate

I have the same problem. I am working from home 8 hrs a day & sit at a desk to type. I walk from there to the toilet or kitchen & back but regularly hit my 5000 steps when most days I’m lucky if I manage 1500 in the same period on my previous Fitbit.
ive changed my dominant hand & switched off the ‘automatically detect’ selections. Resetting hasn’t helped any - do you think having gps on would make a difference? I’m wondering if it would then recognise I’m not moving.
I have height & stride logged correctly.

Does not help. It counts all arm movement and count stair steps not taken.
