Sense died overnight from half charge with no notification

I encountered a strange issue with my sense today - after waking up I attempted to manually wake my sense to take it off do not disturb, but it was completed unresponsive with no sensor lights active. After holding the side button it vibrated and the logo flashed and it eventually turned on. I checked the battery - 41% (I believe it was around 47% when I put it on do no disturb). Decided to throw it on the charger anyways - after doing so I synced the device in the app to get my sleep score and my battery suddenly changed to 4% both in the app (after the sync) and on the device. It was only at this time that I go the low battery warning at occurs below 25%. I've since been able to charge it normally.

For reference, I do not use snore detect of SpO2 monitoring (due to the battery drain).

Was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue or had any idea what it could be.

Sounds like a fluke issue but if it becomes a regular occurrence, I would do things to clear up any issues. My usual go-to for is deleting the Sense and adding it again. That fixes my most common issue of water logs not transferring to or from the Sense and phone. Mods don't like this recommendation, for whatever reason, but I factory reset devices when things are really bad. My setup for my Sense isn't overly complicated so I don't mind doing it if I have to.

Hi @pbrb  - your issue may be one of syncing. If you check the battery in the Fitbit App and it was 41%, this may have been when it last synced many hours earlier. And the battery had depleted to nothing over night.

When you charged it and it says 4% this is about right for starting with a flat battery.

Why you had a rapid drain over that night is a mystery.
