Sense face fell off

The sense face fell off. The Sense is three and a half years old, so it is definitely out of warranty. Based on replies to similar issues on the forums looks like the best that Fitbit offered for similar issues is a discount on a new device. I would pay a reasonable amount for a repair, but I wouldn’t buy a new device considering this quality problem. Unfortunately, I don’t think that Fitbit are set up to offer repairs.

I worked at Fitbit (as software engineer on smartwatches development) till mid 2018 - just before it was acquired by Google. I’m very disappointed.

I think that this will be my last Fitbit device. I used these smartwatches since I’ve started working for them in 2014.

Hi @FreddyBZ!

Welcome back to our forums!

I'm really sorry to hear that your Fitbit Sense face fell off. Fitbit doesn't have repair centers but I'd recommend you try to contact support in order to find a solution together with them. I can understand that you want to say goodbye to Fitbit and we're really sad about it.

Please keep in mind that the Fitbit Community is always available to you.

I’ve solved the problem without Fitbit’s help. I went to a cellular phone repair shop and they have glued the face of the Sense back in place. But I’m still unhappy that it fell at all after three and a half years. This means shoddy design or assembly. I’m wearing on my other hand a Seiko that I’ve inherited from my father 20 years ago, and it was at the time at least 20 years old, and except for replacing the battery once in a while it has no problems. Considering inflation its original price, considering inflation, was roughly the same as the Sense…

I don’t know if other smartwatches have better quality, but I’m going at least to try.
