Sense got lost due to the band

My Sense band came off when I dove into the water and is now at the bottom the lake. I contacted Fitbit Support and they offered me a 35% discount towards a new Fitbit, I did not accept. If Fitbit has a defective product in the Sense band they need to cover that under warranty, especially since the Sense is designed to be used for swimming activities. 

Fitbit Support I'm asking that you cover the manufacturer defect and replace my Sense.
