Sense heart rate during elliptical workouts

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am realizing that sense is terribly inaccurate during elliptical workouts. I was using my elliptical to do my daily cardio and sense was recording my heart rate as 75 to 80 bpm where as my heart monitor recorded the heart rate as 135 to 140 bpm. This discrepancy is huge and needs to be fixed asap. Otherwise, I might have to return this device. So disappointed!

@himalv, I am not experiencing that with my Sense. I have the chest strap with my elliptical, and the heart rate on the Sense is always within 10 points of the heart rate shown on the chest strap.   Be sure to check out the help article, "How do I improve the accuracy of a heart-rate reading?", at this link:

@himalv I'm experiencing the same! I'm considering going back to Apple, the readings are by far more accurate and loads more sports modes. For my stationery bike u have to use the spinning mode to get the right heart rate readings. I'm very disappointed in the Sense.

I'm experiencing the same thing. My wrist will read 125ish but when I check my heart rate on the machine I'm working out on, it's almost 160.

There are several threads about the heart rate inaccuracy and Sense. All we ever hear is, "We are aware of the problem and are working on it."

But, they have been working on it for over a year and nothing ever changes.
