Sense is Slow to Fully Brighten

Dear Fitbit Community,

Has anyone else who is currently wearing a Fitbit sense noticed that it takes a second or two to fully brighten into its maximum brightness setting?  I took it for its inaugural walk today and found it frustrating while exercising when checking my heart rate to have to hold my wrist up for 2+ seconds to see the display as it fully brightened.  Has anyone encountered this?  Is there something that can be changed so that it does not slowly brighten the way it does?
Appreciate the help!

You can set brightness to max when outside, via quick settings

On the watch swipe left to right and
use top right one to adjust brightness

Make sure Do not disturb, sleep [first 2 on top row]

and Always on, [first on 2nd row] are greyed out
