Sense is stuck on Fitbit logo

my fitbit sense is locked on the fitbit logo. I have rebooted the device multiple times without success.

Hi there, @Fifield1947. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Sense is stuck on the Fitbit logo despite the steps you've tried in order to fix it. I will be glad to continue assisting you. 

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again. 


With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

the sense will not connect to my i phone bluetooth

I am having the exact problem with my Sense.  My phone says Awnse Found and it says Connected in phone settings, but the Swnse just cycles through various languages telling me to install the Dirbit app on my phone.  There is no activity on the back of the watch no lights, up etc.  I have rebooted the sense, turned Bluetooth off and on several times, and no matter which order I perform actions, the sense just is not attempting to communicate with the phone.

I logged out of the Fitbit app and logged back in and successfully paired the Sense.  Now it is downloading software as if it is brand new. It is like it was reset to factory settings. Hopefully the app retained all my data, settings, clock face, etc.
