Sense keeps pausing during exercise

I’ve got my new sense and it looks very pretty but it seems to have problems with exercise. Whichever exercise I do it keeps pausing and asking me to ‘press wake screen to resume’. Really irritating. If I miss the prompt it just stops recording and doesn’t resume on its own. This means I don’t get full details recorded for anything. I’ve turned off all notifications but it still happens. Any ideas?

Congrats on your new Sense and thanks for the steps tried prior to posting. I'll help you with the issues experienced during your exercises. Before anything else, may I know what type of exercise you're doing? Does this happen after stopping in the middle of your exercise? Certain exercises modes of your watch include the Auto-pause function which pauses your exercise when your watch doesn't detect activity. If it's longer than 10 minutes you'll be asked if you want to end the exercise. You can always turn off this function by opening the exercise app > your exercise > swipe up to open the exercise settings. In the Auto-pause section and tap the switch to turn off this setting. Then, swipe down to return to the exercise screen so you can start your workout.

This happens in all exercises even when it says i am operating at peak heart rate

This week it’s happened during:

Zumba, bodypump, hiit, interval training, spinning, Pilates, tai chi and yoga

I was logging the spinning, Pilates, and yoga using the relevant selection in the app and I couldn’t see a way to turn off auto pause

The others I logged using workout and again I couldn’t see a way to stop auto pause

This was never happened with my ionic

Please note that I wasn’t pausing for 10 minutes or even 10 seconds and I don’t really want to restart / resume by having to tap the screen. I won’t always see such a prompt

Why is this happening on sense and not ionic
