Is there a way to get this $300 piece to stop pausing during every workout? The heart rate monitor seems to be off by about 30bpm.

Hi @Ken87. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. I understand where you're coming from about the issues experienced with your Sense and let me give you a hand. Because you mentioned that your watch stops every workout, may I know the type of exercise that you were doing? Does it display the Fitbit logo on the screen? Also, is your watch giving you inaccurate heart rate readings when exercising? Or does it happen during your daily activities?
Let me recommend to restart your watch and sync it with the Fitbit app. Also, try moving the band 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone during your exercises and let me know how it goes.
I'll look forward to your response.

I will attempt the solutions provided. The heart rate seems actuate while running, but when lifting and on "weights" it is much lower than what my manual reading tells me. As for the turning off it's also during lifting because any movement of the wrist hits the pause workout button. That is frustrating because it will be Unknown for long it's been paused.

I agree. My watch shows my heart rate going down as I work out instead of getting into my zones. I’m very frustrated. And yes, I am wearing it correctly and did try cleaning.

My Sense does the exact same thing. Push-ups, planks, the exercise mode will pause. Now, my watch is scrolling in different languages telling me to download the Fitbit app! My watch won't connect!

It sounds like it's a known issue. I had already read to move the watch up. It didn't help with heart rate and neither did a restart. I started my watch to lift yesterday and started with overhead press. Well apparently bending my wrist to press stopped my workout for who knows how long....

both problems are happening with me. Pause happens specially on walks.
And workout Im having the same issue mentioned before - I feel my body bumping hard and my heart hate going down, it doesn't make sense. Watch is brand as new, and it arrived last than 1 month ago.

Hi everyone. It's great to see you participating in the forums.
Thanks for sharing more details about your watches. In regards to your workouts, as you've noticed the button of your Sense might unintentionally be pressed when you bend your wrist and this may happen during activities such as a workout that require you to move your wrist a lot. I'd recommend to try wearing your watch higher on your wrist to avoid hitting the button. Our team is always gathering feedback from our members to improve the experience, and yours won't be the exception.
About the heart rate, if you've not done so, please see this help article which explains what factors may impact your heart rate readings. Also, make sure your watch is updated and monitor its behavior.
@pinkster46, is your watch still asking to download the app? Usually that screen appears on a Fitbit device when the set up process or update hasn't been completed yet. That being said, I'd suggest to remove the Sense from the Bluetooth settings, open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync. Then, tap your profile picture > Sense and if you see an update button, please tap on it and follow the onscreen instructions.
Look forward to your comments.

Hello @LizzyFitbit
The watch pauses by touch only when Im using walking - when Im using exercise > workout it doesn't affect me.
A suggestion is to allow users to configure their way to pause exercises, this way we can actually control it and this wouldn't happen so often.
For the heart rate, I'm moving from a Fitbit versa (changed 20 days ago) and i didn't notice the same issue with my old watch. So it's seems like is a problem with my Fitbit Sense.
best regards.

So there's no answer? We go to the forums, do what we're asked to try and the problems persist. Nothing like having the watch pause my workout while I'm using it to track a run while aiming for a pr. Can you fix it or do I need to sell this worthless thing.

Hi @Ramoselisa and @Ken87. It's good to see you here again.
Thanks for getting back and as mentioned before, due to your Sense's design the button might be pressed when you bend your wrist during some of your exercises. I understand your point of view about this situation and while there isn't a way to lock the screen or change the way the exercises are paused, you can share this idea in the Feature Suggestions board so our developers can take it into consideration for new updates or product development. Your feedback will also be passed along so our team can work on our products and improve your experience with them.

I feel the same. One of their previous versions had this same problem. I went away from Fitbit and regret buying another one now. Now I bought a more expensive one to have the same problems, and the response from the moderators pretending to troubleshoot this issue is just dumb, I am sure restarting your watch will do the trick! Thmmmppthhh! Hogwash! Fitbit had this problem 4 years ago. Why is it still a problem? And why hit that link to make a suggestion for improvement? The button is on the bottom side of course it is going to hit your arm during a work out. I kickbox. My workout is like 250 calories burned and won't stay on. What good is this thing?

I agree... Am going to send back my sense as it pauses every cycle ride I go on. Please update on any planned update before I post it back for a refund.

I've been perusing these forums for a legitimate answer, and moving the watch up our wrist is not one. It should be worn in a natural position. You just need to fix it. You could easily do this with a firmware update. The polar app gives you an option like that. But I guess you guys aren't Polar.
It's so annoying that I'm selling mine and going to a different brand. Completely worthless

Mine has the same issue. I restarted it. It’s worse now. Terrible watch.

After about 5 weeks of use, my Sense aborts out of exercise mode during my daily walks. I have to restart Exercise 6-8 times during a 100 minute walk which makes it useless. Sometimes it reboots entirely several times. The heart rate tracking during exercise is very inaccurate. I’m getting only about 1/3rd of the zone minutes that I used yo get on my Versa fir the exact same route. Two chats with your Support team have resulted in no improvements. I want to exchange it for a Versa. Please how to go about that.

I just got a Fitbit sense from Costco 3 weeks ago, and my Fitbit watch resets when I use the walk excercise. If I use the workout or the cycling excercise it works without any problems. This is obviously a common problem for the sense yet there hasn’t been a fix for it… I originally had a versa 2 for 2 years and had to problems with it

I finally noticed that my Sense 2 gives me a notification at about a half mile into a run that asks if I want to discontinue my exercise. The yes button is highlighted. As long as I notice this notification and press the no button it keeps working. If I don’t press the no button it stops recording after about a mile. I have tried to find out how to turn off this notification but haven’t found a way yet.

Mine keeps happening about 1.5 mi into a run. I thought at first it had to do with my shirt rubbing on the face of the Sense 2, but I started changing the setting so a button push is required to wake it, but that doesn't seem to help.
