Sense loses sync OFTEN

I came to the forum to see if I was the only one with Sync issues. I see I’m not. I’ve talked to support several times. They take you through the SAME procedures EVERY time and it only works fit a bit and then loses syncing ability again. 
I think it may be time to switch to Apple watches…unfortunately

Did you make sure your Fitbit and Bluetooth aren't battery optimised and so remain running in background.

If either sleep you will lose syncing.

So in all probability it is a phone problem.
