Maybe since you posted you have resolved this issue? But have you restarted the Sense? I would also go into the Bluetooth settings and forget the Sense if it's showing that it sees it. Then try to reconnect.. For the WIFI is it a network you always connect to?

Hi @AnkitaS. Has your Versa 3 been setup to your Fitbit account?

Where you able to update the firmware?

What errors are being reported?

I'm interested in knowing what you want to update or accomplish. Is the tracker syncing, are you able to load music, or update apps on the tracker?

Yes I finally accomplished to sync the tracker to my phone after trying for almost 24hrs.It wasn't getting synced either through wifi or bluetooth , but it just synced few hours back. Not sure what was going wrong. It did manage to sync on ios phone but not on android.

Mine won't automatically connect to a saved WiFi network or stay connected once I connect it to WiFi, or says least when I go back to the WiFi settings it doesn't tell me it's connected in green letters. Mine also won't automatically change time zones even with the option checked. Ugh

  • Your tracker will not sync directly with WiFi.
  • Your tracker will only sync through your phones bluetooth
  • How you phone connects to the Internet is your choice. It can be through WiFi or cellular.
  • The trackers WiFi will only be turned on while the tracker is off your arm and connected to its powered up charging cable.

@AnkitaS. For sync issues, please see these Sync help tips .

@SunsetRunner are you saying that while the tracker is charging, it will not connect to your WiFi. Is you WiFi a compatible 2.4 ghz, the 5 ghz will not work.

No, it will connect to my WiFi network while it's on my wrist or off my
wrist but when I go back into the Fitbit app WiFi settings it shows it's
not still connected because it doesn't say "connected" in green letters
like it does when I first connect it to WiFi. I'm not really having any
syncing issues other than it won't change time zones right. My Active Watch
2 will stay connected to WiFi and Bluetooth same time all day. It also
changes time zones like it's supposed to and takes and makes calls.
Notifications are also better on it. However, I still prefer my Sense for
other reasons.

Have you confirmed through your router settings that the tracker really is connected.

While the tracker is off of the arm, it should not automatically connect, fitbit chose this on purpoise to conserve battery life. Yes it is possible, with some models, through the app to force WiFi on, like when loading music.

When it comes to Bluetooth, Fitbit has chosen not to keep an active connection for the same battery saving.

For timezone changes. Do you have the app set to automatically follow the phones location, or do you manually switch it.

Note that a sync will be needed before the timezone is updated on the tracker. An auto background sync may not happen for another 20 or minutes after switching timezones. Open the app to force a sync.

Yes sometimes it won't even change time zones when I force a sync. I'll
have to go in an turn the automatic setting off and back on and then sync.
Active watch 2 changes time zones as it should. Just figured the Sense
would too.

I'm not sure how the active works, but if it connects to WiFi, it may somehow get its location. Or maybe throughout the day it periodically looks for an external signal like a cell phone tower or gps.

Fit it needs a sync.

If you've ever had an Active 2 you are struck with how weird/dysfunctional Fitbit software is on phone or watch. Surely this can't continue?

I haven't had an active 2, but with an always active WiFi and Bluetooth on surprised that it gets the advertised 2 days in a charge.

Fitbit purposely chose the path they took to maximize the battery life.

As for the Fitbit app, I read that no other company comes close to fitbit's app.

We have users that left Garmin and Apple simply because of Fitbit's User Interface being, what they call better.
