Sense not pairing correctly for notifications from android phone

Hi - yesterday i unboxed and set up my sense with my Samsung Galaxy. Worked great! was receiving FB messenger notications, calls, etc . Today, I'm not receiving FB messenger notifcations. I used other articles to troubleshoot - restarting the watch and phone, making sure everything was connected and paired. Seems like sense controls has a hard time connecting when I leave my phone and come back to it. Using the phone system bluetooth I can re-connect, but it doesn't work consistently. Using the watch, I can try to pair but it always says sense controls is waiting to pair even if I see bluetooth connected on my phone. Using the fitbit app works, but I'm not receiving text or other message notifications. Any ideas?

You gett all notif except fb msg?Sense controls has nothing to do wth notofications. You are sure u have set battery to "do not optimize" in advanced app settings, and msg box ticked in Fitbit app - Settings - notifications- , not any unread msg on watch?

Thanks for the help, I'll check that out. I get calls, sometimes. Other notifications are spotty as well, so not just FB mess.

Then I guess Battery Optimization is the setting to look at, it is also important to allow all perissions Fitbit asks for, including "Always" for Positioning
