Sense not receiving email notifications

Can anyone help. My Fitbit sense doesn’t receive email notifications. I’ve tried looking at the notifications section on the Fitbit app, but there is no email toggle to switch on or off. So I’m unsure how to add this on

Hi there, @JAM55.

Thanks for taking the time to share these details with me as well, and your efforts while working on this matter. If you haven't done so, please double check the email notifications settings with the steps posted above and let me know how it goes.

I had the same problem.  After 7 hours of clicking on so many different things and reboots I now have it working and receiving emails.  I wish I could say click this/that and done but there is one major change now that I think is the solution.

First - I have an Android and IPhone. When I connect my Fitbit Sense to Android - no issues.  IPhone?  Same as everyone else here - no toggle switch for "email" just text/call/calendar.  I'm no techy person but this did tell me the problem most likely resides with IPhones and their operating systems (something I read in postings when trying to find a solution)

Second - I STRONGLY suggest reading other replies below on what to look for as this helped me navigate screens easier.

Third - I believe the problem is somehow linked to IPhone programming (again, not a techy person) because my logic told me there are three common outcomes from calls/calendar invites/text messages.  All of them have "notifications" in the form of a "banner".  Banner - the message that pops up to notify you of a text.  See below of an example of a banner.  Once I got my emails to send a banner of a new email I was able to "enable" the toggle in Fitbit to receive emails.

Try first going to IPhone Settings; Notifications; under Notification Style select Mail.  Under Alerts the box was checked on mine for "Lock Screen/Notification Center/Banners" which seems like I should be getting banners for email but I wasn't.  I unclicked all of them, then clicked them all back on.  To me this "reset" the option (not a tech person but what did I have to loose).  I also changed "Notification Grouping" to "BY APP" from Automatic.  If you want more information on Banners - https://www.businessinsider.com/what-are-banners-on-iphone helped me understand what some of the other options do.

Next go to Fitbit app.  In the notification section (see other posts on how to get here if you don't know).  Again, you'll see just the three options but click on "App Notifications".  I have "Mail" in my options now.  I toggled that on.  I sent myself an email.  The banner came up on the phone (which never did before) AND my Fitbit Sense gave me the notification too.

As I mentioned I did so many other things but once the banner for email came up on my IPhone - I can now get emails on my Fitbit.  One note:  Since I did so many things in 7 hours I gave up went online and tried to find someone with additional information.  Frustrated I knew I had turned off the toggle notification on another apps found in the "App Notification" of Fitbit and went back to turn them back on.  This is when I noticed "Mail" as a toggle option.  Getting that "Mail" option into the "App Notification" area on Fitbit is the key!

Best of luck and hope this helped someone else resolve their issue.
