Sense notifications not connecting to Huawei P30 pro

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have only had the fitbit sense for a week but despite it syncing to my Huawei P30 Pro, notifications such as emails and what's apps are not coming through. I always get the 'notification service not running' error message.

I have tried looking on here and I did find something about clearing the cache and reconnecting, that worked for like afew hours and I'm getting the error message again.

This is very annoying as the sense is not cheap so I would like to use all features. Plus the Huawei P30 Pro isn't exactly a rubbish phone. Can anyone help as I do not have the time and energy to keep clearing the cache each time. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Emsyson.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Sense. Thank you for trying to get them resolved before contacting us.

Our team is aware of this issue with notifications and is working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. We're sorry for any trouble this situation could have caused to you. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

In the meantime, some users have had success after following the next steps:

- Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app

- On your phone, open the Settings app > Apps and notifications > Apps, give all the permissions to the app
- Tap Fitbit > Battery Launch (manages if the app is running in the background) - tap the 3 dots at the top right corner - Manage manually (here is the list of all the apps on the phone) - on the Fitbit app icon, check the 3 boxes Manage automatically, Secondary launch, and Run in background.

- Reboot your phone and restart your Sense.

Hope this helps.

Just wondering if there is any update on this? I have followed all the advice above (as well as the other theories elsewhere) to no avail.

Thank you for an update, but with respect this isn't really good enough. My post was first posted in March 2022 and I am aware that other people have had the same issue on this community board.

It is very frustrating having to uninstall etc all the time when really it should stay connected. At the moment I am still within my 6 month free premium plan but I will not be paying for it as this issue causes me more stress having to deal with it. I do not use the fit it app as I should be able to because it does not sync properly.

Can this be looked into urgently please.

Is there any update to this as I have the sense 2 and a p30 pro and have to repeatedly clear my date every few days to get notifications to work.

Thanks
