For the last couple of weeks, whenever I go out for a hike or run or bike, I hit the app and all seems fine. Then when I'm done, I hit "finish" and my watch gives me all the immediate stats. All good. But... when I go to sync with my phone (iPhone app is up to date btw), it just says "auto-recognize" and only has part of my stats. It doesn't have my gps map or other data. What's going on?!!!

I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Sense when tracking your exercises. Thank you for the information provided.
In this case, I would recommend restarting your Watch by following these instructions.
In addition, please follow the best practices and troubleshooting steps in this article in the menu "How do I get my Fitbit device to connect to GPS?".

Thanks - I tried restarting and checked my settings. All seems fine in those fronts. I went for a hike yesterday and again, it was connected to gps for my hike and all seemed fine. After my exercise was done I reviewed the summary statistics on my watch. All good. But when I sync with the app, all that shows up is "auto recognized" and only part of my stats. See image.
All my exercise for the past few weeks is this way. Might I have a defective watch? It is still under warranty.

Update: I called support and we tried re-pairing and updating the app. No luck. My problems started happening April 10 2022, which the support person said was in line with a software update for the Apple app. Bummer. All they can do is ask that I wait for the next software update and hope it gets fixed. They will submit this for the next app update apparently. They are released about every 29 days.
Guess I'll be waiting till then...
